I don’t understand why Auryn needed to stop producing any new photos or updates, giving us some relief that production is currently moving forward. That should not have anything to do with the outstanding share debacle…
Packed up, ready to go, and Vegas bound. See you all there! And remember, “what happens in Vegas, gets shared on The Mining Play!”
Huh? Thankfully I haven’t been involved here for a decade.
Continuing the discussion from Medinah Minerals (MDMN) - 2016 Q3 - General Discussion (recovered):
In the above LENGTHY post, you mentioned a possible sale of part of Medinah’s ownership percentage of AURYN. Back in May when the completed “sales” agreement was announced a 5% additional equity stake clause for $50 million was included. It was speculated at the time that this was floating a price balloon out for any interested 3rd party operators. Medinah certainly wasn’t going to obtain $50M through dividends within a 5 year time frame specified in the Agreement.

(note the “Cautionary Statement – Forward-Looking Information”)
This (the clause for $50 million) did not make sense at the time of the sale to AURYN. It does seem to have more relevance under the present circumstances, IMO. We’ll know more after hearing what gets said to shareholders at the informational meeting.
see you next year. personally, bad timing for the meeting this weekend, otherwise I’d love to be there and meet some of you fine persons.
The highly anticipated Informational meeting is just a few days away. As a long time shareholder I would caution you to temper your expectations. My expectation from Medinah is a truthful explanation as to where we stand in regards to the shares outstanding and a plan for resolution. On the Auryn side I expect a similar presentation they gave in Chile along with an update on current mining developments.
I’m absolute in my believe the Shareholder base and their resolve to ask pertinent and tough questions. I’ve be assured they are ready.
Should be an interesting weekend.

NEW TOPIC FOR BREAKING NEWS
http://theminingplay.com/t/october-1st-2016-informational-meeting-news/
I have created a special topic for posting information presented at the special meeting Oct.1st. Please keep this new topic primarily informative news reporting for those who are not able to attend and post your opinions in the main thread. Thanks.
To everyone attending the meeting, good luck! Make sure to ask the tough questions (we’ve discussed them enough here), especially in the legal arena. But since you are in Vegas, make sure to have some fun, relax, and recharge!
If Chapin, Goodin or JJ are there I would ask for the immediate succession plans for an existing BOD members who have past or present relations with Les. Their ability to hold positions of fiduciaries for MDMN shareholders are GONE.
I would also ask when the past and current BOD members expect to return their holdings of MDMN, CDCH, and NUOCO. This proactive “gesture” will go a long way to dulling the next wave of civil and criminal battles they will inevitably face.
Press the current BOD on timelines. When will the forensic accountant be hired? When will a notice to all participants of the private placements Les orchestrated receive notice that they don’t legally hold those shares? I would advise a letter to go out, immediately, to the holders (or previous sellers) of those private placement shares, that they don’t hold legal title to those shares and buying those shares back will be a prerequisite. Guys like Vittal can simply return their shares but for all of the other scumbags who participated in private placements (Ian Dow, etc), they need to know they they best be buying those shares back while they can.
Have fun in Vegas. I’m guessing the Medinah informational meeting will be a waste of time. Just my opinion. It’s hard to expect much from a bunch of egocentric incompetents who are too dumb to realize they have either directly or indirectly broken the law. IF guys like Tupper are able to participate it could be worth while. I’m sure the Auryn meeting will be worth everyone’s time.
The way I understand it Tupper will be an active participant.
Forgive the ignorance, who is Tupper?
the Wizard (Kevin).
If not a shareholder privacy issue, and Chapin makes it to the meeting, can someone ask if NPER is still a MDMN shareholder or can they confirm that Les did sell the shares.
For those attending, meeting is in the Montego room at Mirage convention area
I will be at the Parlor Bar in the casino area of Mirage friday about 7:30 or 8, hopefully with some other TMPers. If we can’t get a couch in there, will try the Center Bar directly adjacent to Parlor. I am wearing a grey and black poncho shirt, short brown hair. See some of you there?
Best of luck to those attending the meeting. Please keep us updated, more importantly be safe and have fun
I’ll try to pop in and say hello.
