Yes don’t sell out to Auryn.
Thought I’d pop in and make a bit of a social post since I consider many of you friends who have been through the wringer together . . .
I’m lifting a glass of wine tonight to celebrate the end of a very difficult process these last 9 months and a lot of hard work.
We have now wrapped up almost all of the litigation and have produced honest financials with an accurate accounting of the shares issued for the first time in Medinah’s history!
None of us know the future, but here is to better days ahead.
Yes, to better days ahead!
May there be many better days ahead.
I do believe that one of the biggest defenders of Les NOT selling his shares was Mr. Gold. There was “NO” way that was happening according MGold and the Baboon.
I do believe that MGold has a loooong history of belittling shareholders who posted about selling shares at significantly higher levels. Now he’s advising people to average down.
I believe MGold made 100’s of posts telling people that CDCH was worthless b/c Les was telling him the same.
Participants of this board have the perrogative to place emphasis (and hopes, false/hopes) on whomever they choose. I don’t believe anyone in the right mind would put much emphasis on MGold’s advice unless it’s related to the underlying geo fundamentals.
There is an enormous difference b/w the merits of a project and the underlying stock price/capital structure. The Doc had a very difficult time separating the two. It’s a difficult lesson but also an invaluable one for anyone who plans to speculate on additional mining assets/investments.
There’s nothing wrong with making a mistake but it’s imperative to reflect, analayze and learn from the same.
If people here will be upset with a 5 cent exit for MDMN (10 cents for CDCH) they either need to average down or mentally accept our new reality. IMO, its very difficult to average down based on how little we know and keep in mind that 5 cents in MDMN would equate to a value for Auryn of over $550M. That would be an incredible move from here. Possible but not all that probable. It’s a tough business with or without Les’ fraudulent actions.
Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication!
FYI…Les wasn’t selling “his” shares.
Cerro has been a pathetic excuse for a Company that rode Medinah’s coat tails all these years while contributing absolutely nothing to helping the investment on the mountain.(To be far, they did have a geologist or two write some glowing reports.) Juan was very close to taking Cerro’s last mining claim that would have left the Company with nothing. And just recently it escaped ruin once again by almost defaulting on what was owed to Auryn so warnings about its demise were warranted. ( I find it a little ironic that it was Les that created Cerro to begin with as a way to keep Juan from giving the Fortuna to somebody else since Medinah couldn’t afford it at the time. It was his child that he eventually lost control that probably explains his various nefarious actions against Cerro later. )
Spin away Mr Baldy, that is what you do best. You might recall that I was one of Cerro’s greatest supporters and owned more shares of it than Cerro directors did. I actually passed on information to Cerro’s Management warning them that Les was up to no good and working on their downfall. Ask Mr. Hoffman.
Your efforts are appreciated Kevin. Thank you!
I’ll squeeze myself a glass of orange juice and celebrate with you.
Life can be a wonderful thing when wearing rosy colored glasses. Problem is, glasses eventually smudge, scratch, and lose their effectiveness. Denial always comes back and bites in the end… sometimes literally.
As for the exit, it will be what it is. I’ve resigned myself to accept it. I would love a profit, and am open to possibilities, but I long ago gave up fretting about it. No averaging down for me. I’ve done that more times here than I can count already. I had my chance to make millions on both stocks back during whenever it was that they climbed to .19 and .27 or whatever prices they hit. I had drunk too much kool aide at that point and did the opposite of what I should have been doing. Lesson long ago learned. Life moves on and so have I, for the most part. I’ll be appreciative that Kevin, Auryn, and whomever else deserves credit sticks it out and enables me to hopefully recover less of a percentage loss than I’ve had in most pink/otc investments. That’s about a rosy as I let my glasses get.
It’s worth mentioning that I own more shares of MDMN than I do CDCH. The only reason why I have defended CDCH on this board and through many direct conversations with three different sets of boards is because a handful of gullible folks, like yourself, went out of their way to slam the stock b/c their contact, Les, told them it was worthless. Instead of whining, I spent a considerable amount of time speaking to CDCH’s board to offer advice in implementing a plan that avoided “ruin.” Kevin deserves credit for making it happen. For the life of me, I can’t think of anything you’ve done beyond belittleing shareholders who have (correctly) expressed concerns about management. Can I asssume the MGold persona is finally in the waste bin?
You have an awful lot of “ifs” in your posts. “If’s” are a crutch for someone making excuses. If my Aunt had balls she’d be my Unlce. If Les hadn’t committed fraud this would have been a home run investment. If CDCH hadn’t negotiated a agreement with Auryn it would be a zero. I think it’s important to avoid the “if’s” and focus on what has actually occurrred. It’s very helpful in understanding “reality.”
Both CDCH and MDMN have been pathetic excuses for public companies which is totally irrelevant to the conversation. It’s nice to know we finally have some numbers to work with in estimating value but nobody knows what Auryn will ultimately be worth. I’ve marked both investments to zero and will be happily surprised if I’m able to generate some returns but I don’t expect to break even unless I average down. I would have bought more CDCH when it was trading below .003 but, as you pointed out, there is very little liquidity and I felt that I had too much inside information to ethically buy shares.
Let’s hope both stocks work out. If MDMN goes up, CDCH will go up more. I’d encourage you, specifically, to try to avoid being overly emotional about this sh@t show we find ourslelves. The investments have been an unmitigated disaster but an incredible learning experience which I have leveraged into an opportunity that I may not have contemplated had MDMN been a straight success. I have no complaints but feel some guilt for introducing many friends to this investment. As responsible adults, they wouldn’t blame me for their decisions but “if” I hadn’t told them about the investment they would have avoided some sizeable losses.
Straight up truth & very well put!
We have all been through the ringer together so let’s put the past in the past, since we all made mistakes and and some of us drank way too much koolaid. Lets start fresh and that means even with each other on this board. This bickering and finger pointing is so old it is beginning to smell badly. From my perspective the only ones that really made out are JJ and Les which if it wasn’t for the cost I would say we should go after them until they are in prison. We should all take this as a lesson learned and not ever make the same mistake with a future investment. At this point I would be happy just to get back to breakeven, even though I still expect there is profit to be made, but only time will tell
So Happy New Year to all and lets move on, since I can’t wait until there is no MDMN, no CDCH, and only Auryn to talk about.
Okay…
Enough with the history lessons. Both Medinah/Cerro should do quite well…at least from the point of view of where the share price is now.
The sky is the limit of where Auryn goes from here. There are some examples of mining companies obtaining many billions of dollars in valuations from basically a single mining property. There is no reason that Auryn shouldn’t be able to do the same with a solid business plan and bringing in the right professionals to get the job done.
Now that the legal issues are resolved its time Auryn informed Medinah as to mining activities.
Baldy, I’d be downright thrilled with mdmn @ 5 cents and cdch @ 10.
The big question is, how many shares he’s got left ?
Baldy,
Let’s not forget Bill Hoffman at the helm of CDCH for all of those years. He was honest and diligent during his watch. His hands were tied by JJ and Les, two lying crooks, who ran the Alto and lied incessantly to him. The share structure stayed intact and the company stayed afloat. I met him at the shareholders meeting in 2012 in LV and to this day will stand by his reputation.
And I’ll stand right next to you and back that up to any who question you. If JJ and LP had a quarter of the character and integrity of Bill Hoffman we’d all have much happier memories here and would likely be enjoying the fruits of our investment.
May LP and JJ also reap the fullest just rewards from their efforts.
Life has a beautiful way of balancing equations in spite of humanity’s seemingly habitual desire to practice ignorance and denial when it serves their purpose. I will cease and desist from playing messenger boy for the final time and leave life to provide the lessons still unlearned.
My best to almost all of the shareholders here and gone, and my deepest empathy to those who lost more than they could afford due in large part to the abhorrent actions of all those with no sense of honor or shred of integrity.
Why are you always. “PICKING ON ME”
Just keep popping in from time to time K…
K!
