Auryn/Medinah - 2022 - 2nd Half General Discussion

Hello Miners.
Well we are into another month. Spring thawout should be under way along the switch back road up the mountain. Hopefully the spring rains are not damaging the road too much. As they will have to be firm before the fuel truck/trucks make there way up to feed the equipment.
Early morning after a good hard nights freeze always worked best.
I also hope all the equipment was winterized and varmint proofed, well.
As a varmint nest in the wrong place can be $$$$ costly?
Spring start up is always filled with surprises. Winter pulls no punches.
Though a different country, they got the same problems when your high in elevation.
Hopefully they don’t have the same varmit problem as we do popping up around here in the USA .
In the last couple years, there has been a surge of the …
… “The 2 legged “filthy” toothless” Cooper Rat"…
One used to be able to cull them out, but now it’s a catch and release policy.
… ???..
…well time to go winterize equipment…
Cs.

Well, if I catch the drift of your message CS, the Cooper rat cage has already been opened! Has anyone been deep down Alice’s rabbit hole lately and seen what’s there?

Hopefully the winter hasn’t been too harsh to prevent completion of the mapping. Let’s get back to the work at hand and find that elusive Don Luis vein. Shareholders are all awaiting news of some amazing results!

Chile overwhelmingly rejects progressive new constitution

SANTIAGO, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Chileans overwhelmingly voted against a proposed new constitution on Sunday, rejecting what would have been one of the world’s most progressive charters.

While nearly 80% of Chileans voted to draft a new constitution in 2020, nearly 62% of voters rejected the new text with 99.74 percent of ballot boxes counted.

Karol Cariola, spokeswoman for the approval campaign, conceded defeat late on Sunday night in downtown Santiago but said the mandate to draft a new text remains in force.

“We are committed to creating conditions to channel that popular will and the path that leads us to a new constitution,” Cariola said.

President Gabriel Boric, whose government is largely tied to the new text, said cabinet changes were coming and the government would work to draft another constitution.

“We have to listen to the voice of the people. Not just today, but the last intense years we’ve lived through,” Boric said. “That anger is latent, and we can’t ignore it.”

The president said he would work with congress and different sectors of society to draft another text with lessons from Sunday’s rejection.

Center-left and right wing parties that promoted the reject campaign, have also agreed to negotiate to prepare a new text.

“I think there are two things that explain what has just happened. One is a rejection of the Boric government,” political analyst Cristobal Bellolio told Reuters, adding that the other was identity politics in regards to indigenous and other issues.

The proposed text that voters rejected was a response to widespread violent protests that gripped the nation in late 2019 and focused on social rights, the environment, gender parity and indigenous rights, a sharp shift from its market-friendly constitution dating back to the Augusto Pinochet dictatorship.

MASSIVE TURNOUT IN MANDATORY VOTE

Nearly 13 million of 15 million Chileans and residents who were eligible to vote cast ballots across more than 3,000 voting centers. These included the national stadium in Santiago, where Rosemarie Williamson, 54, and her mother, 85, voted to reject the new constitution. …

So shareholder update was July 8th. In that update they talked about a shareholder meeting in Santiago December 8th and they would update us on this in a couple weeks. 2 months later and nothing. I would think we would get some answers on this soon so if anyone wanted to go we could make plans. That date is only 3 months away.

imo, it’s doubtful they will carry through on such a plan until they are mining, have an operation to show off / talk about, and are recognizing revenue. there would be no point otherwise. Things have just not unfolded at the speed they anticipated. So … maybe a meeting in 2023?

I guess shareholder update will be coming out in the next 10 days. Very troublesome that we have not had any new pictures since April and this quarter has really been quiet. So saying that, I do not expect much out of this new update. Maybe they will Suprise me…We will see

October 2022 – Shareholder Update

Oct 3, 2022

AURYN Mining Corporation Shareholder Update

AURYN Mining Corporation (OTC: AUMC) is pleased to share its Q3 2022 accomplishments, Q4 2022 objectives, and outlook for the future.

Q3 2022 – ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Don Luis vein and Antonino tunnel

  • AURYN contracted EGV Ingeniería to produce a detailed topographical map of the tunnel and the old workings. This effort was scheduled to start on July 11, 2022. Weather delays prevented the team from beginning until August 4, 2022. A significant portion of the topographical work is complete. However, surface snow on the Alto de Lipangue prevented EGV Ingeniería from completing the aerial imagery/surface portion of the mapping. This will be completed in the coming weeks and overlayed against the results from mapping the tunnels.

  • AURYN’s consulting senior geologist analyzed the data from the tunnel mapping and was able to calculate the precise heading and distance to intersect the Don Luis vein.

  • At the conclusion of the mapping, the team was approximately 51 to 61 meters from intersecting the Don Luis vein. The variation in distance provides an allowance for any change in the angle of the vein between the current elevation and the elevation of the old works.

  • To date, the team has advanced the tunnel an additional 27 meters. After each blast and cleaning, the distance covered and the precise heading are recalculated. Our mining team estimates we are now 24 to 34 meters from intersecting the Don Luis.

  • The geological alteration throughout the Antonino tunnel continues. Two more clear structures have been identified and will be investigated at some point in the future.

  • Water in the tunnel is increasing significantly as we advance toward the Don Luis vein. The newly installed water extraction system is working well so this is no longer a cause for delay.

Collaborating with Universidad de San Sebastian

  • During the third quarter students from the university focused on three projects:

    • Completing a financial assessment for a new campsite
    • Modeling and evaluating a new ventilation system that combines the existing forced ventilation system and the future chimney at the intersection of the Don Luis vein
    • Evaluating the incorporation of photovoltaic energy in transit areas
  • Final reports on these projects are expected to be ready in the coming months.

Other items

  • Weather. During July and August AURYN faced unusually harsh winter weather conditions preventing mapping and tunneling for several weeks. In early September the weather improved somewhat but is still not ideal for exploration work.

  • Equipment issues. The team experienced approximately two weeks of delay due to mechanical failure of the scoop and the time required to get parts and make repairs. This is a recurring issue which will be rectified as future cashflow allows.

  • Inspections. On September 22, 2022, Chilean mining authorities visited (unannounced) our project and carried out an inspection. Much like the results from their visit last quarter, they indicated their satisfaction with the quality of the tunnel construction and of our ventilation system. No critical issues were raised other than the requirement for a vent chimney, which will be constructed at the intersection of the Don Luis. This satisfied the inspectors.

Q4 2022 – OBJECTIVES

  • We anticipate intersecting the Don Luis vein within 34 more meters. Barring unforeseen circumstances this should occur before the end of October. Once this important objective is achieved, AURYN will make a public announcement and immediately begin our exploitation plan including:
    • Constructing an evacuation/ventilation chimney following the Don Luis vein to the old workings. The chimney will have an approximate slope of 20° and length of 30 meters.
    • Constructing a gallery with an area of 50 square meters to support construction of a T to exploit the Don Luis vein in both directions.
    • Exploiting the Don Luis in both directions. At the 20-meter mark on the east side, construct a spiral to support exploitation of the vein at lower levels.

OUTLOOK

Communications

AURYN still plans to host a shareholder meeting in Santiago, Chile. Once the Don Luis is intersected and work on the exploitation of the vein has begun, management will determine a date for the meeting and communicate this to the shareholders. Expect further details in the coming weeks.

AURYN will continue to publish required financial disclosures at OTC Markets. Quarterly shareholder updates will also be released on OTC Markets and on our website during the first week of each calendar quarter along with a gallery of images and videos. To receive notification of these via email, subscribe on our website. For occasional intra-quarter updates, follow @aurynmining on Twitter.

Mining

Management remains bullish as we continue to uncover new structures in extending the Antonino tunnel. These new structures, and a detailed map, will determine where to begin drifting the chimney and begin exploitation. We anticipate our mining teams to spend most of quarter preparing the mine for exploitation at the current level and sub-levels. Minor production will occur during this process. Results will be reported accordingly. Once fully prepared, exploitation begins.

Financial

To date, a third party is paying for AURYN’s exploration efforts. AURYN’s Board of Directors is monitoring expenditures with a commitment to reimburse the third party (without interest) from production. There are 70,000,000 shares issued and outstanding and AURYN does not anticipate any dilution from our exploration efforts.

AURYN’s plan is to use future cash flow from production to pay off exploration debts and expand operations. Management’s desire is to eventually become debt-free and produce fully audited financials prior to seeking to move to a higher tier on the OTC Markets.

Progress - still trying to get to the DL vein, maybe about 24-36 meters left - they say before the end of October. OK, we’re patient.

In my view, the good news is there is no bad news.

Hey Wiz :man_mage: Do you know what these “clear structures” might possibly be?

I believe ones similar to what they already have. Presumably several branches have broken from the main DL.

Thanks Auryn for the report. Good luck with your progress.

… A friend asked my advice about a relative wanting to borrow money from him.
He had gone through the usual questions one has, on his own already.
All I had to add was ; “one has to remember” when borrowing money out,
One has to assume, that person has to earn twice as much, in which to pay you back with…
… and, continue supporting themselves, till the debt is fulfilled . …

AURYN’s plan is to use future cash flow from production to pay off exploration debts and expand operations. Management’s desire is to eventually become debt-free and produce fully audited financials prior to seeking to move to a higher tier on the OTC Market…

 Gods speed full ahead. C.s.

While they chase the gold on the mountain, A person still has to remember the copper that this mountain holds…
Because the USA will need a lot of it. For example;

From ; The Washington Post. October 16, 2021.

By 2030, , according to one study, the nation will need to invest as much as $125 billion in the grid to allow it to handle electric vehicles. The current infrastructure bill before Congress puts about 5 billion toward transmission line construction and upgrades…
… in New York City, stressed utility equipment will need expensive upgrades — and perhaps a totally new model of energy production — if they are to handle an eventual 2 million electric vehicles…

… a renewable source of electricity, electric vehicles will still contribute to climate change — where fossil fuels are burned at power plants rather than in tailpipe emissions…
…But generating all that power will be one thing. Even assuming the goal can be met, that clean power still has to make its way to where the electric cars will be. And that means, this will all need copper.

There is new imagery of the ADL out on Google Earth from Sept. Other than a few vehicles moving around and the area around the entrance to the Antonino tunnel becoming a bit more worn I did not really see much new of interest. Not surprising. But maybe someone else wants to take a look.
