I asked Mauruzio if Auryn would be buying any more shares and he corrected as Masglas instead of Auryn and said he was not at liberty to say. Fwiw
congrats KEV. Get to work!
Wow, a $30 trade to start todayâs trading. Much more than $20 yesterday
There is still someone selling. I donât know when it stops but at this point, any additional information from Auryn would be helpful to lend legitimacy to MDMN.
MASGLAS updated the about us page as you may recall previously they were working on 2 mining projects that were scheduled to be completed by July 2016.
"MASGLAS has successfully closed the pending deal on the Princesa Caballo project, located 11 km north of the ADL mining district. Princesa Caballo has a consolidated area of 5,960 hectares. With the acquisition of said project, MASGLAS now holds well over 45,000 hectares of mining properties across Chile.
Furthermore, MASGLAS is currently negotiating the acquisition of a copper gold project in the fourth region and structuring a joint venture partnership to acquire another mining property in northern Chile from a well known major mining company."
Itâs to bad they donât tell us how this properties were acquired (cash, stock, etcâŠ) so we can get a feel of what Masglas is valued at.
Yup that would be nice.
11km is less than 7mi. At the meeting, Maurizio mentioned the new purchase very briefly but more interestingly in was in the context of suggesting that they thought the property could be part of some type of common mineralization trend with the ADL. This does not suggest that there is continuous mineralization from here to there. But, it very much suggests that they are very positive on what they are seeing at the ADL and they looking to get anything else that could be related they can get at the appropriate price.
Also, interestingly, this apparently is another troubled child property of JJâs that Masglas is buying as they think they can clean up a mess Juan got himself into. These articles are from a couple of years ago.

In the middle of last August, Juan Jose Quijano, owner of Minera Princess Horse, located in the chain of mountains from the top of Colliguay, asked the Neighborhood of the sector a âright to easementâ to access to Mina, on payment of one million pesos to that organization. On that occasion the majority of the Assembly disagreed with the proposal, refusing the offer of Mr. Quijano. It should be noted that no such request corresponds to the neighborhood committee, as they are the owners of the land through which passes the footprint access to the mine, who have the attribution to grant or not the âright of wayâ.
âŠ
Finally, on Sunday 28 September, the house of Josefina Santa Cruz and Luis Bezares, which was without its inhabitants, was violated, in what they describe as a âintimidating theftâ, producing extensive damage to property. For them, this fact is framed, no doubt, in the context of all the intimidation and threats made previously.

Whether Juan had anything to do with the robbery or not, it is clear he was at a dead end with the property. Masglas picks up a potential ADL relative property which had become impossible for Juan to move forward.
Unfortunately, the thievery / thuggery is all too familiar to those who know the long sordid MDMN story.
Whatâs the saying âbirds of a feather, flock togetherâ
Wow these guys are assembling quite the package. ADL alone could keep an outfit busy 20 years
Also at the meeting, Maurizio emphasized it was important that they go slow at the Caren early on as they are very keen to avoid any environmental mishap. They want a clean record. This will enable further permitting and increased tonnage permitting on the ADL. But now you can see how a good reputation would help them with this new property by winning over some very unhappy locals so they give Masglas a chance to show they want to operate differently and grant them surface access which they would not give to Juan.
The environmental movement or even âanti-miningâ movement is strong in some countries of South America. In recent years we have seen the huge disaster that Barrick got themselves into at Pascua Lama. There are many clashes with environmental protesters in other countries, even in Peru where mining is very economically important, and where at least some Masglas investors are from.
So proving that you operate in a responsible way and in a locals-friendly way, is the only way really to progress in mining these days else you face impossible legal challenges that wipe out a mineâs viability.
Just some context for a Saturday morning after a slow week âŠ
Do we know how much Masglas paid for the property?
Whatever it was, it didnât come from capital gains on mdmn.
Donât forget that Masglas is a private group of investors with multiple enterprises. AURYN is one of them, and Medinah owns stock in Auryn only.
What Masglas does outside of Auryn is telling of their business culture and overall success, but in essence is none of our business.
We gain from all of Aurynâs activities, but not that of Masglas.
And Masglas owns stock in Medinah
Whoâs behind Masglas besides Auryn? That would be nice to know. Did the question even get asked at the meeting?
CHG,
Appreciate the extra information. Please explain the green and white dots on your Colliguay-ADL property map jpeg as my knowledge regarding these features is quite limited (non-existent).

Chile: Bullying and intimidation of neighbors who oppose mining project in the Valley of Colliguay ⊠The Citizen
Sunday night September 28, unidentified men entered the home of Josefina Santa Cruz and Luis Bezares Lira, located in Colliguay, causing damage and stealing some personal items. These two people live in the town more than 10 years, developing various actions to benefit the community and community leaders.
Colliguay Valley is located in the rural area of the municipality of Quilpué and since 2009 is defined as part of the Biosphere Reserve La Campana-Peñuelas.
On Friday August 29th, the Mayor of the Commune, Mr. Mauricio Viñambres, held a meeting with local residents. On that occasion, the mayor noted that âthis is not a mining area and is defined in the Community Development Plan as tourism, rural, productive and agricultureâ, pledging to "seek all necessary resources because we will not allow it build or mining operations are carried out in this area (âŠ) those who want to mining, to go north, not Colliguay ".
On Sunday 31 August, Mr. Quijano returns to the town, asking again to the Neighborhood Board meeting to try to get the right of way. This provoked the neighbors were divided between those in favor of the installation of the mine and those, among which are both affected, opponents of the project.
Proponents neighbors of a mining pollution free Colliguay make a call to public opinion in support of action in defense of ecosystem preservation Colliguay Valley, source of life and economic activity of most of its inhabitants.
Subsequently, on September 5, the mayor Viñambres held a further meeting with the local residents. On occasion, he was informed the mayor that residents would be pressured by the owner of the Mining and that would have made threats to those neighbors opponents to the project.
The two affected hope this situation can be resolved through dialogue and goodwill and ask the colliguayina community return to normal existing local coexistence until the days before the events described, since the intention that they have had to oppose the mining project is none other than environmental preservation Colliguay Valley. They note that people who support this project, do so because they have been promised economic benefits, without considering the environmental pollution that will suffer the loss of flora and fauna, air pollution and little existing water, product impact noise of the explosions, and the worst, the only existing road destroyed by heavy trucks passing in front of their houses.

Iâm not sure. I was out of time and I picked up the first image of the region I could bring up via Google Earth or maybe something else. Anyway they came for free without my intention. So I donât know what they are.
Thanks, I was clueless, let us know if google has a key for what they are.
I found this, Google Earth/Maps Icons and this, http://www.wvgs.wvnet.edu/www/maps/topomapsymbols_MapX1B.pdf but you may still count me clueless!
Iâm not sure I understand the question, itâs the other way aroundâŠ
